Finnish consumer confidence dropped to -6.4 in July 2025 from a 4-month low of -8.6 in the previous month. This marked the 41st consecutive period of negative readings, albeit at a softer pace and remained below the CCI’s long-term average of -2.7. Consumer’s view of their current finances improved slightly (-1 vs -3.1 in June), and pessimism on the outlook for Finland’s economic development eased (-12.7 vs -15.4). Additionally, sentiment regarding the timing of durable goods purchases improved (-10.6 vs -16.7) and perceptions of personal unemployment risk became less negative (-12.8 vs -13.5). Meanwhile, unemployment expectations remained pessimistic (-28.3 vs -26.5) and saving propensity declined (36.9 vs 34.2).
