22 July 2025, 15:45  USA: Futures Waver, Eyes on Earnings.

Stock futures in the US swung around the flatline on Tuesday, after both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq posted fresh record closes the day before, with traders monitoring tariff developments and digesting fresh corporate earnings. The US is continuing trade negotiations with key partners, including Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. The administration may issue additional unilateral tariff notices, and further trade agreements could be reached ahead of the August 1st deadline. Meanwhile on the earnings front, Coca-Cola was slightly down (-0.2%) in premarket trading, despite beating on both earnings and revenue. Shares of Philip Morris declined almost 4% after the company posted a disappointing revenue and Danaher was down 1.6%, as its results failed to impress investors. In addition, Lockheed Martin plunged more than 7% before the opening bell after the company's earnings and revenue missed expectations and GM lost 3.6% after warning of a larger tariff hit in H2.
