18 July 2025, 21:46 Germany: Stocks Close Lower.
Germany's DAX closed 0.3% lower on Friday at 24,290, giving up a positive start to the session as markets continued to assess the outlook for European trade with the US. EU officials continued to attempt striking a deal with White House officials to prevent the current tariffs of 30% on the bloc to begin on August 1st. Losses were distributed among most majore sectors of the Frankfurt Exchange, with Sartorius, Siemens Healthineers, Fresenius, and Merck dropping between 3% and 1% to set the pace for the health sector. n the meantime, autos were also down with Mercedes Benz and Porsche losing around 1% each. In the meantime, SAP closed 0.7% lower ahead of its earnings release next week.
