US utilities injected 46 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas into storage for the week ending July 11, bringing total inventories to 3.052 trillion cubic feet (tcf). That compares with an increase of 18 bcf during the same week last year and an average of 41 bcf over the 2020-2024 period. As a result, gas stockpiles now stand 6.2% above the five-year seasonal average.
