US business inventories were unchanged month-over-month in May 2025, matching April’s reading and in line with market expectations. Increases at retailers (0.3% vs no change in April) and manufacturers (0.1% vs -0.1%) were offset by a decline at merchant wholesalers (-0.3% vs 0.1%). On a yearly basis, business inventories went up 1.7% in May.
