17 July 2025, 13:34 Kazakhstan: Industrial Output Growth Accelerates.
Kazakhstan’s industrial production rose by 7.2% year-on-year in June 2025, accelerating from a 5.8% gain in the previous month. This marked the steepest increase in three months, driven by stronger output growth in mining and quarrying (11.8% vs 10.4% in May) and manufacturing (3.1% vs 1.2%). In contrast, production increased at a slower pace for electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply (2.8% vs 6.3%), while activity in water supply, waste collection and treatment, and pollution elimination continued to decline, though at a softer rate (-0.8% vs -6.1%). On a monthly basis, industrial output grew 2.7%, rebounding from a 1.1% contraction in May. From January to June, industrial activity was up 6.5% compared to the same period last year.
