15 July 2025, 23:29  Germany: DAX Ends on Negative Note.

Frankfurt's DAX cut some early losses to close about 0.4% down at 24,084 on Tuesday, aligning with European peers, mainly pushed down by defensive stocks, banks and financials. Meanwhile, traders continued to monitor developments on trade negotiations. While EU ministers still hope to reach a deal with Washington, Brussels has prepared a €72 billion list of US products—mainly aircraft, cars, and food—for retaliatory tariffs if Trump proceeds. The US President expressed openness to talks with the EU and other trading partners on Monday, noting that EU officials would soon visit the US for trade discussions. On the corporate front, Renk Group, Rheinmetall, Hensoldt and MTU Aero Engines saw losses between 1.5% and 3.4%. Other notable decliners included Commerzbank (-2.9%), Airbus (-1.5%) and Allianz (-1.5%). Conversely, automakers and techs posted the biggest gains.
