Energy prices in the US fell by 0.8% year-on-year in June 2025, following a 3.5% drop in the prior month, marking the fifth consecutive month of decreases. Gasoline (-8.3% vs -1.2% in May) and fuel oil (-4.7% vs -8.6%) prices continued to decline, though at a slower rate than in May, while upward pressure persisted in utility piped gas (14.2% vs 15.3%) and electricity (5.8% vs 4.5%) costs. On a monthly basis, energy prices rose by 0.9%, following a 1% decrease in the prior month.
