The annual inflation rate in Finland eased to 0.2% in June 2025, from 0.5% in each of the previous four months. This marked the lowest reading since December 2020, as prices moderated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.2% vs 2.7% in May), health (7.3% vs 8.9%), and restaurants and hotels (1.7% vs 1.9%). At the same time, costs declined for clothing and footwear (-0.8% vs 0.2%), while it continued to drop for housing and utilities (-3.5% vs -2.7%), miscellaneous goods and services (-1.1% vs -0.9%), and transport (-0.5% vs -0.7%). Meanwhile, price growth accelerated for furnishings and household maintenance (2.2% vs 1.0%), communication (5.8% vs 3.1%), recreation and culture (3.1% vs 2.3%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.2%, following a 0.1% decrease in the prior month.
