Exports rose 1.8% year-on-year to EUR 67.12 billion, driven by a 0.4% increase in sales to EU countries, which offset a 5% decline in shipments to non-EU countries. By commodity, notable export gains were seen in food and live animals (+9.4%), animal and vegetable oils (+5.9%), and chemical products (+3.5%).
