10 July 2025, 15:26  Ireland: Industrial Output Surges in May.

Industrial production in Ireland surged 36.8% year-on-year in May 2025, sharply accelerating from a downwardly revised 17.7% gain in the previous month. The surge was driven by stronger output in transportable goods (39.7% vs. 18.9% in April) and manufacturing industries (36.7% vs. 17.9%), while the contraction in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-1.3% vs. -13.1%) eased markedly. On a month-over-month basis, output rebounded 12.4% in May, reversing a 12.5% decline in April.
