10 July 2025, 15:11 Greece: Industrial Output Falls at Softer Pace.
Industrial production in Greece fell by 2% year-on-year in May 2025, marking the second consecutive month of decline, although the drop slowed from a downwardly revised 4.2% decrease in the previous month. Production increased in mining and quarrying (9.1%) as well as in water supply (1.8%). On the other hand, output declined in manufacturing (-1.4%) and electricity supply (-7.1%). By industrial grouping, production rose for intermediate goods (7.1%) and capital goods (6.5%), while it fell for energy (-11.7%), consumer durables (-16.9%), and consumer non-durables (-1.3%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output declined by 0.4% in May 2025.
