10 July 2025, 14:58  Mozambique: Inflation Rate Up for 2nd Month.

The annual inflation rate in Mozambique rose for the second month in June 2025, reaching a three-month high of 4.15%. Prices advanced faster primarily for food & non-alcoholic beverages (9.38% vs 8.73% in May); restaurants, hotels and cafes (8.53% vs 8.35%); miscellaneous goods & services (4.16% vs 3.57%) and clothing & footwear (2.30% vs 1.72%). Conversely, prices declined for transportation (-1.17% vs -0.70%) and education (-0.06%, the same rate as in May). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.07% in June, following a 0.36% decrease in the prior month.
