MUNICH (AFX) - The West German business climate index fell to 94.9 in February from 97.5 in January, and was down from 101.0 in February last year, the Ifo economic research institute said. The business assessment index was 91.4, down from 94.6 in January, and down from 93.3 in February 2000. The West German business expectations index was 98.5, down from 100.3 in January, and down from 109.0 in February 2000. Economists had expected the business climate index to come in at 95.3-97.5.
