Taiwan: M2 Money Supply Jumps 4.76% YoY in Aug.

The Broad M2 money supply in Taiwan increased by 4.76% year-on-year to an all-time high of TWD 66,185 billion in August 2025, accelerating from a 3.42% gain in the previous month. This growth was mainly driven by a higher annual growth rate of demand deposits and a smaller decline in foreign exchange deposits. Considering the first eight months of the year, the average annual growth rate stood at 4.24%.
