The FTSE MIB edged lower to around 51,300 on Thursday, extending losses for a third consecutive session, as markets continued to digest fresh corporate earnings while keeping an eye on developments in the Middle East. Investors remained focused on renewed US strikes on Iran, the resulting increase in oil prices, alongside the Federal Reserve's decision to hold interest rates steady for a fifth consecutive meeting overnight. Across the bourse, Prysmian declined more than 3% despite reporting solid Q2 revenue growth and raising its 2026 guidance outlook. Stellantis also dropped nearly 5% even after swinging to a profit in the second quarter, boosted by rising demand in North America. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia rose 0.5% after posting growth in its second-quarter core earnings. Davide Campari-Milano also gained 3.9% after reporting growth in adjusted net profit for the first half.
