Turkey's Economic Confidence Index rose to 99.8 in July 2026 from 98.9 in the previous month, reaching its highest level since February and moving closer to the 100 threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. The improvement was driven by improving consumer confidence, which rose 2.2% to 89.8, alongside gains in the services sector (+1.4% to 112.0) and construction (+0.6% to 83.5). In contrast, confidence in the manufacturing sector slipped 0.8% to 101.2, while retail trade confidence fell 1.6% to 111.0. Despite the overall improvement, the headline index remained below the 100 mark, indicating that economic sentiment continued to point to a slightly pessimistic outlook.
