30 July 2026, 10:35 Austria: Producer Inflation Rises Further in June.
Annual producer inflation in Austria rose to 3.1% in June 2026 from 2.8% in the previous month. This was the highest level since April 2023, mainly driven by rising prices for intermediate goods (6.6% vs 5.7% in May). Prices for consumer goods also increased 0.2%, following a 0.1% rise in the prior month. Meanwhile, energy prices rose for the third consecutive month, although at a slower pace than in May (2.1% vs 2.8%), while price growth for capital goods was unchanged at 1.0%. On a monthly basis, the PPI edged up 0.1%, easing from a 0.5% rise in May, as price increases for basic metals (2.0%) and paper and paper products (1.4%) were partly offset by declines in prices of chemicals and chemical products (-1.5%) and food products (-0.1%)
