28 July 2026, 08:31  Taiwan: Consumer Sentiment Drops from Four-Month High.

Taiwan’s consumer confidence index fell to 64.58 in July 2026 from June’s four-month high of 65.05, reflecting broadly weaker sentiment. Confidence declined across all six core sub-indicators, including domestic economic conditions (80.53 vs 80.87 in June), household finances (77.42 vs 77.70), stock investment prospects (28.08 vs 29.90), durable goods purchases (93.43 vs 93.55), and labor market expectations (72.19 vs 72.46). Meanwhile, future price expectations remained subdued (35.82 vs 35.83). Other indicators also softened, including the gauge for the timing of real estate purchases (90.13 vs 90.35), current health conditions (86.70 vs 86.82), and expected future health conditions (81.77 vs 81.86).
