Poland’s industrial output rose 7.6% year-on-year in June 2026, accelerating from a 4.1% increase in May and exceeding market expectations of a 7.2% rise. This marked the strongest growth since September 2025, as production strengthened in manufacturing (6.4% vs. 2.7% in May), driven mainly by gains in other transport equipment (24.9%), paper and paper products (19.0%), electrical equipment (15.8%), machinery and equipment (11.3%), and fabricated metal products (9.6%). Output also accelerated in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (16.4% vs. 12.8%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (14.7% vs. 11.0%), while growth eased in mining and quarrying (28.3% vs. 31.0%). On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 2.0% in June, rebounding from a 0.8% decline in May. In the first half of 2026, industrial output was 3.9% higher than a year earlier.
