The annual inflation rate in Poland eased to 2.5% in June 2026 from 3.1% in the previous month, confirming preliminary estimates. This marked the lowest reading since February, as prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declined (-0.2% vs. 0.5% in May). Deflation also persisted in furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.1% vs. -0.9%), while prices for clothing and footwear fell at a slower pace (-3.1% vs. -3.4%). Price growth also moderated in housing and utilities (4.9% vs. 5.0%), transport (1.3% vs. 5.6%), recreation, sport and culture (5.2% vs. 5.6%), health (5.0% vs. 5.1%), and information and communication (4.0% vs. 4.5%). Conversely, inflation accelerated for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.5% vs. 6.4%) and personal care, social protection, and miscellaneous goods and services (2.2% vs. 1.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.5% in June, following a 0.3% decline in May.
