The BusinessNZ Performance of Composite Index increased to 53.6 in June 2026 from an upwardly revised 49.9 in the previous month. It was the first expansion in the private sector since January and the most since December 2025, as the services sector returned to expansion, while manufacturing grew at its fastest pace since July 2021.
