1 July 2026, 13:50  Netherlands: Q1 Current Account Widens.

The Netherlands’ current account surplus widened to €26.28 billion in the first quarter of 2026 from a downwardly revised €23.28 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The goods account surplus widened to €22.40 billion from €22.0 billion, while the services account surplus also rose to €9.17 billion from €8.36 billion. Additionally, the primary income shortfall shrank significantly by €1.84 billion to €0.39 billion from €2.23 billion a year earlier. On the other hand, the secondary income deficit increased to €4.91 billion from €4.82 billion.
