8 June 2026, 11:31  Czech Republic: Industrial Output Rises 1.5% in April.

Industrial production in the Czech Republic grew 1.5% year-on-year in April 2026, the biggest gain in three months, following a 0.9% rise in the previous month. Manufacturing growth picked up (1.8% vs 1.6% in March), driven primarily by a sharp increase in the manufacture of computer, electronic, and optical products (11.0% vs 5.2%). Other key contributors included the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (7.6% vs 6.8%) and other non-metallic mineral products (4.0% vs 1.3%), particularly those used in construction. Additionally, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply rose 0.9%, rebounding from a 4.9% decline in March. In contrast, mining and quarrying output fell at a sharper pace, declining 12.9% compared with a 2.0% drop a month earlier. On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 1.4% in April, after falling 0.1% in March.
