8 April 2026, 14:58  Luxembourg: Inflation Rate Rises to 3-Month High.

The annual inflation rate in Luxembourg rose to 2.4% in March 2026, up from 1.3% in the previous month, marking the highest level since December 2025. Costs rebounded in housing and utilities (1.7% vs -1.2% in February), while price growth accelerated in transportation (4.2% vs 0.2%), recreation, sport and culture (4.7% vs 3.8%), restaurants and hotels (2.9% vs 2.5%), and furnishings and household equipment (0.9% vs 0.7%). At the same time, prices held steady for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.8%) and education (6.2%). Meanwhile, inflation eased in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.6% vs 4.2%) and health (1.8% vs 2.3%). Prices for clothing and footwear were flat after a 0.1% decline in February, while information and communication fell (-1% vs 0.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.9%, slowing from 1.2% in the preceding period.
