The Economic Confidence Index in Turkey fell to 96.4 in April 2026 from 97.9 in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading in nine months, as most confidence indicators declined. Confidence in the real sector dropped to 98.6 from 100, while the retail trade sector outlook deteriorated, falling to 111.6 from 113.6. The services sector index also slipped to 109.7 from 113.2. In contrast, consumer sentiment strengthened, with the index inching up to 85.5 from 85, while construction sector confidence improved to 83.6 from 80.6.
