20 April 2026, 11:28  Czech Republic: Producer Prices Fall at Softer Pace.

Producer prices in the Czech Republic fell by 1.1% year-on-year in March 2026, easing from a 2.9% decline in the previous month, in line with market expectations. This marked the fourteenth consecutive month of producer price deflation, albeit at a slower pace, as prices in mining and quarrying rebounded (0.4% vs -1.5%), supported by a smaller drop in crude petroleum and natural gas (-10.6% vs -17.4%). Prices for manufactured products also recovered (1.2% vs -1.7%), with declines softening in chemicals and chemical products (-7.7% vs -10.4%) and computer, electronic and optical products (0.9% vs -0.4%). Meanwhile, prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services were unchanged at 3.9%, while those for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning fell by 9.2% after a 7.1% increase in February. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 1.5%, accelerating from a 0.1% increase in the previous month.
