9 March 2026, 13:43  Lithuania: Inflation Rate at 3-Month High.

Lithuania’s annual inflation rate rose to 3.6% in February 2026, up from a one-year low of 3.1% in the previous month, and marking the highest level since November 2025. Prices rose for housing and utilities (4.4% vs. 2.6% in January), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.3% vs. 7.2%), health (2.9% vs. 2.8%), recreation, sport, and culture (7.4% vs. 5.4%), clothing and footwear (1.1% vs. 0.9%), and education (3.3% vs. 3.1%). At the same time, deflation eased for transport (-0.5% vs. -1.4%). Conversely, inflation slowed for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4% vs. 4.4%) and restaurants and accommodation services (5.6% vs. 5.8%), while deflation deepened for furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance (-0.6% vs. -0.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.1% in February, down from January’s one-year high of 1.5%.
