6 March 2026, 15:47  Denmark: Manufacturing Output at 4-Month High.

Denmark’s manufacturing production rose 3.8% month-on-month in January 2026, following an upwardly revised 1.2% rise in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since September 2025, as output recovered sharply in textiles and leather products (13% vs -1.9%), food, beverages and tobacco (0.3% vs -1.1% in December 2025), wood and paper products (5.8% vs -1.9%), pharmaceutical products (6.9% vs -6.2%), and electrical components (10.7% vs -12.1%). At the same time, activity increased in basic metals (3.4% vs 2%). Meanwhile, output growth slowed in the sales of petroleum and chemical products (1% vs 24.2%) and declined sharply in rubber, plastic, glass, and concrete products (-3.7% vs 1.7%) and transport equipment (-8.1% vs 4.8%). On a non-seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing production grew 14.1% in January from an upwardly revised 1.4% gain in the preceding period.
