Argentina’s consumer confidence dropped to 42.03 in March 2026, marking its lowest level since October 2025 and a 5.3% decline from February’s 44.38. The drop was broad-based, with current conditions decreasing by 6.48% and future expectations by 4.45%. Regionally, Greater Buenos Aires saw the steepest decline (-9.35%), followed by the City of Buenos Aires falling (-6.99%), while the rest of the country recorded a modest increase of 1.26%. Confidence weakened across income groups, declining 6.91% among low-income households and 4.71% among high-income households. Among sub-indices, the sharpest decline was in the personal situation index (-8.23%), followed by durable goods and real estate (-4.58%) and the macroeconomic situation (-3.26%). On a year-on-year basis, consumer confidence declined 4.73%.
