18 March 2026, 11:06  Oman: Inflation Hits Highest Level Since 2022.

The annual inflation rate in Oman rose to 2.0% in February 2026 from 1.4% in the previous month. This was the highest level since November 2022, driven mainly by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.8% vs 0.9% in January), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (3.0% vs 2.6%), and miscellaneous goods and services (13.4% vs 13.2%). Additionally, transport costs rebounded (0.2% vs -0.3%). Meanwhile, prices for housing and utilities remained unchanged, as did those for communication, while inflation for restaurants and hotels eased slightly (5.7% vs 5.9%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.2%, following a 0.3% rise in January.
