10 March 2026, 21:47  France: CAC 40 Rebounds From 5-Month Lows.

The CAC 40 index climbed 1.87% to close at 8,063 on Tuesday, rebounding from 5-month lows as the de-escalation of Middle East tensions fueled a strong recovery across interest-sensitive and consumer-facing sectors. Sentiment improved after comments from the White House regarding a potential conclusion to the Iran conflict prompted a sharp reversal in crude prices and provided relief to high-energy industrials and the vital luxury sector. Schneider Electric surged 4% and Legrand added 3.5% as falling energy costs eased margin pressures while luxury heavyweights Hermes and Kering advanced 2.3% and 3.1% respectively. Financials also provided significant support with Societe Generale jumping 4.3%, BNP Paribas rising 3.6%, and Credit Agricole adding 3% as market participants pivoted toward domestic growth prospects.
