10 March 2026, 17:47  Slovenia: Industrial Output Drops at Softer Pace.

Industrial production in Slovenia fell by 3% year-on-year in January 2026, easing from a downwardly revised 3.7% drop in the previous month. Activity declined at a softer pace in the manufacturing sector (-2.4% vs -4.5%). Meanwhile, output decreased sharply for mining and quarrying (-16.3% vs 2.5%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-6.8% vs 4.9%). By industrial grouping, production fell for intermediate goods (-1.8%), energy (-6.5%), and consumer goods (-11.2%), while capital goods output increased by 6.4%. On a monthly basis, industrial activity rose by 1% in January, following a downwardly revised 1% fall in the preceding period.
