This was the third consecutive monthly increase, highlighting continued demand for detached housing. Approvals across states were mixed, with Western Australia (11.5%), New South Wales (1.9%), and Queensland (1.8%) recording increases, while South Australia (-8.9%) and Victoria (-3.8%) saw declines. On an annual basis, private house approvals increased 7.1%, after a 7.5% rise in December.
