The Nikkei 225 Index decreased -448 points or 0.8 percent on Monday to close at 53488 points. The decline was led by Sumitomo Dainippon (-13%), Toho Zinc (-7.2%) and Toyota Tsusho (-3.7%). On the upside, the strongest performers were Nidec (7.7%), AEON (6.6%) and Ajinomoto (5.9%).
