US stock futures were little changed on the final day of 2025 after slight declines on Wall Street, weighed down by weakness in tech and financial stocks. In regular trading on Tuesday, the S&P 500 fell 0.14%, while the Nasdaq Composite and the Dow dropped 0.24% and 0.20%, respectively. Traders assessed the outlook for robust economic growth and potential rate cuts by the Fed against concerns over stretched valuations for AI companies. Meanwhile, trading activity is expected to remain subdued due to the shortened holiday week. Despite small losses over three straight days, the S&P 500 is still on track to post a notable gain of around 17.3% for the year. Palantir recorded triple-digit gains, while Nvidia and Oracle posted double-digit increases. The Dow Jones also performed well, advancing around 13.7% this year, supported by positive US economic data, mainly GDP growth, as well as robust consumer spending. The Nasdaq Composite outperformed both, surging 21.3%.
