The Nikkei 225 Index gained 29 points or 0.06 percent on Thursday to close at 50373 points. Gains were led by Sumco (4.47%), Rakuten (3.63%) and Keisei Electric Railway (3.52%). Biggest losers were Toho Zinc (-10.22%), Fujikura (-2.79%) and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (-2.65%).
