Slovakia's current account deficit narrowed sharply to EUR 197.3 million in October 2025, from EUR 580.5 million in the same month of the previous year. The goods account recorded a surplus of USD 179.5 million, shifting from a deficit of USD 64.8 million in October 2024. Moreover, the services account surplus widened significantly to USD 27.0 million from USD 11.5 million a year earlier. The primary income deficit shrank notably to USD 324.9 million from USD 430.6 million, while the secondary income shortfall narrowed to USD 78.9 million from USD 96.6 million.
