Poland’s consumer sentiment indicator remained steady at -9.9 in December 2025, unchanged from the previous month, as households showed mixed assessments of the economic outlook. Perceptions of the past year’s economic situation improved to -20.6 from -22.8, while expectations for the year ahead slipped to -16.9 from -15.2. Household financial conditions strengthened, rising for both the past year (-7.0 vs -7.5) and the next year (-5.2 vs -7.3), while the current ability to save jumped (-0.1 vs -4.1), accompanied by gains in projected financial conditions (15.1 vs 11.8) and future saving expectations (14.3 vs 11.5), reflecting improved confidence in personal liquidity. However, some indicators pointed to continued caution, with the financial situation for the next year declining (-4.0 vs -1.9), price trends over the past 12 months softening (52.0 vs 57.9), and the propensity to make major purchases easing (-2.9 vs -2.6).
