15 December 2025, 12:55  Germany: DAX Kicks Off Week on Higher Note.

The DAX edged higher on Monday, rising 0.4% toward 24,290, recovering from Friday’s decline, in line with its European peers. Investors prepared for a pivotal week marked by economic releases and central bank policy announcements. The ECB is widely expected to keep borrowing costs unchanged while upgrading its GDP growth forecasts. Meanwhile, the spotlight remains on geopolitics amid US-Ukraine negotiations, particularly after President Zelenskiy signaled readiness to forgo NATO membership ambitions. Among individual stocks, Fresenius SE & Co, Siemens Energy, Porsche AG, Zalando and Continental were among the top performers, wit gains ranging between 1% and 2.5%. However, defense names such as Rheinmetall (-2.3%), Renk (-1.8%) and Hensoldt (-0.7%) posted the biggest declines.
