12 December 2025, 22:00  Italy: FTSE MIB Declines as AI Bubble Fears Hit Global Sentiment.

The FTSE MIB fell 0.4% to close at 43,514 on Friday, mirroring Wall Street’s decline as renewed fears of an AI-driven bubble weighed on sentiment. Weak results from Oracle and Broadcom reignited concerns over stretched tech valuations. Financial stocks were volatile after Thursday’s strong gains. Generali dropped 1.5% as it and BPCE ended talks on an asset-management joint venture. Poste Italiane slipped 0.8% after increasing its stake in TIM, which rose 0.4%. UniCredit lost 1.3%, Banco BPM fell 1.7%, and Intesa Sanpaolo declined 1%. Eni edged down 0.2% amid softer oil prices. On the upside, Lottomatica gained 0.7% after Morgan Stanley raised its target price to EUR 28 and upgraded the stock to “Overweight.”
