12 December 2025, 13:36 Montenegro: Inflation Rate Eases to 5-Month Low.
Montenegro’s annual inflation rate eased to 4.2% in November 2025, from 4.8% in the previous month. It marked the lowest reading since June, as prices moderated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.9% vs 6% in October), furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (3.3% vs 4.3%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6% vs 6.1%), restaurants and hotels (5.8% vs 6.4%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.1% vs 3.5%). In contrast, prices rose at a faster pace for transport (3.3% vs 2.5%) and recreation and culture (7.6% vs 7.2%), while deflation softened for clothing and footwear (-2.7% vs -4.1%). Prices remained steady for housing and utilities (7.4%), health (13.1%), communication (-0.7%), and education (0%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.4% in November, slipping further from a 0.2% decline in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual harmonized inflation rate slowed to 3.9%, from 4.6% in October.
