11 December 2025, 19:20  Canada: Exports Post Strongest Monthly Gain Since Early 2024.

Canada’s exports rose 6.3% month-on-month to C$64.2 billion in September 2025, rebounding from a 3.2% drop and marking the strongest gain since February 2024. Nine of eleven product sections increased. Metal and non-metallic mineral exports jumped 22.7% after three months of declines, led by a 30.2% surge in unwrought gold, silver, and platinum group metals, with higher gold shipments to Switzerland, the US and the UK. Energy exports grew 5.8%, driven by a fifth straight monthly rise in crude oil (+5.8%). Exports of aircraft and other transport equipment climbed 23.4%, boosted by a 72.3% jump in aircraft. In contrast, aluminum and steel products, affected by high tariff rates, recorded steep declines.
