7 November 2025, 19:47  Mauritius: Inflation Rate Slows to 6-Month Low of 4.1%

The annual inflation rate in Mauritius fell to 4.1% in October 2025, the softest since April, from 4.4% in September, marking the fourth straight month of slowing price growth. Prices rose a softer pace for some CPI categories, namely health (6.8% vs 8.1%); restaurants & hotels (9.9% vs 12.2%); furnishings & household equipment (4% vs 4.6%), clothing & footwear (2.5% vs 2.8%): miscellaneous goods & services (1.5% vs 2.6%) and food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.7% vs 1.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were flat, after decreasing by 0.2% in the prior month.
