6 November 2025, 19:29 Namibia: Inflation Rate Hits 4-Month High of 3.6%
Namibia's inflation rate rose for the second month to 3.6% in October 2025, the highest since June, from 3.5% in September. Upward pressure stemmed primarily from prices of hotels, cafes & restaurants (5% vs 4.2% in September); housing & utilities (4.1% vs 3.6%) and transportation (2.1% vs 1.3%). Meanwhile, prices slowed down for some CPI categories, including food & non-alcoholic beverages (4.6% vs 4.9%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (4.6% vs 4.9%); miscellaneous goods & services (2.8% vs 3%) and health (2.6% vs 3.1%). On a monthly basis, the CPI went up by 0.5% in October, after being flat in the previous month.
