5 November 2025, 23:47 Italy: FTSE MIB Rises on Strong Corporate Earnings.
The FTSE MIB gained 0.4% to close at 43,438 on Wednesday amid upbeat corporate results. Generali rose 1% after reporting a 15.6% increase in third-quarter net profit, beating expectations, and FinecoBank jumped 4.6% as EPS came in at €0.2572, above the forecasted €0.2425. Also, Moncler climbed 3.4% after Barclays upgraded its rating to Overweight and raised its price target to €61 from €55, citing room for the brand to catch up with peers. Meanwhile, Snam advanced 1.7% after raising its 2025 adjusted EBITDA guidance to €2.95 billion and posting a 10% profit increase for the first nine months. On the downside, Nexi plunged 7.9% after missing profit forecasts, while Diasorin slipped 2.7% ahead of earnings and Lottomatica fell 4.8% after recent gains. On the macro front, PMI data showed the Italian private sector expanded at the fastest pace in over 18 months, driven by stronger services and a return to growth in manufacturing.
