US stock futures were lower on Wednesday, with S&P 500 futures down 0.3%, Nasdaq 100 futures falling 0.6%, and Dow Jones futures slipping nearly 40 points, extending losses from the previous session. Valuation concerns surrounding the AI trade persisted after disappointing results from AMD and Super Micro Computer. AMD sank nearly 5% in premarket trading after issuing a revenue forecast that failed to impress investors, while Super Micro Computer plunged 9% following a weaker-than-expected earnings outlook for the current period. Nvidia also slipped 1.2%, and Qualcomm edged down 0.2% ahead of its earnings release after the closing bell. On the upside, McDonald’s gained 0.4% ahead of its report before the market open. Meanwhile, investors looked ahead to the ADP employment report for fresh insight into labor market conditions, as the ongoing government shutdown became the longest in US history.
