The S&P Global UK Services PMI was revised upward to 52.3 in October 2025 from a preliminary estimate of 51.1, accelerating from 50.8 in September. The latest reading indicated a moderate expansion in services activity, amid a rebound in order books, with firms noting increasing domestic demand. This was despite persistent business uncertainty and the postponement of significant spending plans ahead of the Budget. In contrast, new work from abroad fell for the second month running.
