5 November 2025, 12:24  Indonesia: Government Sees No Need for Additional Stimulus in Q4.

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, said on Wednesday that there is no need to introduce additional stimulus measures in the fourth quarter to boost economic growth, as existing programs are sufficient. He added that efforts to strengthen the economy must be intensified in the fourth quarter to achieve the full-year GDP growth target of 5.2%. Fresh data showed that the country’s GDP grew by 5.04% year-on-year in Q3 2025, broadly in line with market expectations of 5.0%, but slightly easing from 5.12% in Q2, which marked the fastest pace of growth since Q2 2023. In September, the government announced an economic stimulus package worth IDR 16.23 trillion (USD 989.3 million), including food assistance and an infrastructure development program expected to provide temporary employment for more than 600,000 people. The stimulus measures are scheduled for implementation in the fourth quarter of 2025, with some likely to be extended into 2026.
