In New York, the Dow Jones Index dropped 264 points or 0.6 percent on Tuesday. Losses were led by Caterpillar (-4%), Nvidia (-3.85%) and Boeing (-3.2%). Offsetting the fall, top gainers were Travelers Companies (3.5%), Merck (1.75%) and Home Depot (1.2%).
